Jorge was born in Argentina and he also has Italian heritage. He is married with a son and a daughter. He is interested in woodworking and home shop machining.
Jorge served in the Navy for ten years after graduating as Aerospace Engineer in 1983. He also holds an MBA from MIT (1998).
Jorge transitioned into a civilian role, starting his career in the oil business in 1993, in the aviation fuels marketing department at YPF. Jorge then held a downstream planning and several upstream business development positions.
In 2005, he moved to Houston,TX to start the Repsol’s upstream business development office for the Americas.Jorge participated in several of the most important acquisitions and divestments that Repsol executed in Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela,Trinidad, USA and Canada.
